A Twin Cities Slow Food Accelerator
Now in its third year, Maker to Market is a food accelerator program for entrepreneurs wanting to turn delicious ideas into market-ready products. We give growing food businesses access to our network and expertise in order to source good ingredients and Minnesota-grown produce, scale production and marketing, and get their product into the hands of people who will love it.
NOTHING TO LOSE, EVERYTHING TO GAIN.
This first-of-its-kind slow food accelerator unites all the tools and support entrepreneurs need to succeed. Makers will gain financially subsidized access to commercial kitchen and food storage facilities, start-to-finish guidance and mentorship from industry professionals, and six months of guaranteed retail placement at all Lakewinds Food Co-op stores, where their products will be available to more than 24,000 shoppers spending over $1 million each week.
Lakewinds Food Co-op and The Good Acre have partnered under a shared purpose: bring new and diverse slow food products to the world as we strengthen our food community as a whole. We help independent food makers hit the ground running. We source ingredients from small, local, and disadvantaged farmers to cultivate our local food economy. And we give consumers amazing new choices at shelf. It’s a win-win-win.
